Attended a Baha'i 9 day pilgrimage
Staff very accomodating. Location very convenient for Baha'i shrines. Room was excellent. Breakfast was ample and good quality.
We had an incredible view of the harbor! We were also very close to the Ba Hai gardens, which are spectacular.
The hotel staff seemed disconnected to the hotel, for example, when we asked what tours were available, the desk personnel said "they don't run any tours from here" - as if he weren't part of the hotel.
the view of the city is fabulous. the staff were very helpful. its a clean 70s retro style hotel that could do with a major renovation - but its good enough as it is.
Nof is not a luxury hotel (the facilities look like they're 1970s era), but it treats guests as if they're staying at a luxury place. They left me fresh fruit and quality chocolates as a complimentary gift upon checking in. The views from guest rooms are AMAZING--looking down Mt. Carmel into Haifa Bay. It's also a great location...Hanassi Street is a lively spot with good restaurants (I recommend Giraffe) and bars...and is only minutes away from a lookout point with a great view of the Bahai Gardens. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the place for folks looking to save a little money but still feel like they're staying in a quasi-luxury hotel.
The place felt a little old. It could definitely use some remodeling. I also didn't like that I asked for a double/queen/king bed and got two singles pushed together (I only ended up sleeping on one...who wants to sleep on the big gap in the middle). Parking, while free, can be a bit tight out front.
The genuine warmth and personal touch of the staff. They responded to all our requests and it was a very homey place. I like that it is family run with the owner on the premises. We talked to two of the staff who said they had worked there for years and would not be anywhere else. That attitude was represented in how they treated the guests. Also, the breakfast each morning in the dining room was a real treat with wonderfully tasty food, that was fresh, and plentiful. The view of Haifa from our window was well worth the trip especially since we are Baha'i's and the Gardens and shrines were there to be seen each day all the way down Mt. Carmel to the Medeterranean Sea.
It could use some updating of room facilites.
The hotel staff were excellent anytime we had questions or concerns. As Baha'i pilgrims the hotel has a good central location, close to Baha'i sites, shopping and points of interest and all at very reasonable rates. We enjoyed the musical entertainment in the lobby in the evenings, the lovely breakfast available every morning and the welcoming atmosphere we experienced each day. If we return to Haifa we will certainly give the Nof our first consideration for our accomodation.
We were very appreciative that the hotel offers free wireless internet access in some of its rooms and in the hotel lobby. I brought my own laptop with me to share pictures of your beautiful city and to keep in touch with friends and family but was not always able to find a spot in the lobby to plug in my computer. There were two computers set up in the lobby but they were almost always in use. My suggestion is that more of your clients may appreciate easier internet access at a few more locations in the lobby.
Some of the staff were very helpful. Location. Breakfasts were very good quality. The room. View from the window.
There were some difficulties when checking in, the receptionist could have been more helpful. The daily cleaning was ok, but the room as such was not very clean (in cupboards, windows).
The proximity to shops and restaurants was good.
Wi-fi is limited to those paying more for floors 4, 6, and 7. Room decor is very out-dated. My room smelled like a heavy smoker had lived there continuously for 30+ years. There's no "Do Not Disturb" sign so housekeeping invades privacy daily no matter what, even if you say "no thankyou" when they knock. They come in later when you're gone. Once I purposely left a light on to check. When I came back later, it had been turned off. They waste a lot of energy on laundry which is bad for the environment; ACCOR would be unhappy with Nof. Doors have only 1 lock and locks are designed to show if someone is inside. When you lock from inside the door, a pin sticks out from handle on the outside. If you lock then shut, pin retracts so room is empty
The location was reasonable, especially for visiting the Baha'i gardens and shrine.
I was pretty disappointed in the hotel. They lost our booking, they didn't enforce the no-smoking policy on the floors with rooms so our room filled up with smoke from a neighbor's cigarettes, the food was really disappointing, and the staff wasn't particularly friendly.
Amazing view and the quiet area. good access to Haifa and all routes and some of the staff are welcoming
We were unaware that some rooms have been renovated and some not.
Unbelievable city view. Location - just on the Promenad, few steps from bakhai garden. It was nice to have fruits on the welkome.
Hotel from 80-th... old furniture, poor breakfast
Breakfast had initially quite a bit of variety until realised that it hardly changed for 10 days, other than things disappearing from menu (e.g. fresh orange). One staff member in Chinese restaurant exceeded expectations - she was excellent, but her colleagues need a customer service course. e.g. when my wife pointed out chair dirty, a waiter stated 'it's dry (spilled food)!'
Initially pleasant staff turned completely non-responsive as soon as there was a need to provide customer service. E.g. first night found shelves in bedroom dirty, bathroom floor with footprints, one of seats marked. I had to clean up with my own shirt! (No immediate response) We had a Superior room, but struggled to see what was superior, including the refurbishment. Seemed to only be the bathroom.. Quirky room servicing - e.g. no shower gel one day, then two bars of soap another. Some other guests left with too few towels, so nicked them off cleaners' trolley! No iron in room, had to use an ironing room in the really sad lower ground that was not clean (again, I had to tell hotel!). Basement area disgusting. Very few soft chairs in lobby
view is amazingly beautiful. centrally located in the Haifa/Carmel area. available free parking. included breakfast is not gourmet but definitely good. very good value hotel. welcoming fruit basket, chocolates and water is a very nice touch and a pleasant surprise!
mattress is split into two the same with the blankets on a double bed. decor is of need of updating. staff not always responsive.
The hotel is in a center aerea.it is clean ,but old.for exemple the doors are very old,the closet,s door is quite impossible to OPEN(room 206),the carpet is not clean.the stuff is ok.the breakfast so,so.....and the price is quite high
Free Wifi in the lobby
When arriving at the hotel I wondered why I chose this hotel. It looks like a scene from 'Dallas': the hotel hasn't been updated in 40 years. Brown and golden rims everywhere. The room looked as bad: very outdated. And that's not the worst part: there are dirty stains in the carpet everywhere. Luckily the bed was clean/ok. Breakfast in the morning, I don't know what was worse: the interior or the food. We payed to much for what we got for it.
